Team Faber is riding momentum with a 3 fight winning streak and will look to make it 4 in row when the send John Cofer to defend the blue colors this Friday on what promises to be another great episode of The Ultimate Fighter.  Team Cruz is now desperate to get a victory and with Vinc Pichel representing the red colors the confidence level is high among them.

John Cofer has put together a nice 7-1 record mixing submission, TKOs and decisions.  This shows he is versatile and can go the distance which is something that is always good to see in a fighter.  He is a natural wrestler from Rory Singer’s Hardcore Gym.  His game plan for this week should be simple, take Pichel down and look for the finish on the ground.  But Faber might have other plans for him.  Could we see him try to finish Pichel very early, say first minute of the fight, since Pichel is known to be a slow starter?.  Will Cofer look for an early takedown and quick submission?

On the other hand we have Vinc “From Hell” Pichel that trains at the Big John McCarthy’s Ultimate Training Academy under the UFC’s pioneer referee.  Big John has him as one of his top prospects and he has shown great power accumulating all of his 7 victories via KO or TKO and no defeats on his record.   Six of his seven finishes have come on the second round, which is why we say he is a slow starter.  Although he submitted his opponent on his TUF elimination bout, will Pichel have enough ground game to keep Cofer from stealing this fight?

Without a doubt we have an intriguing matchup for this week as well as tempers rising between the coaching staff.  During an exclusive sneak peek from UFC Tonight we could see things getting heated between the coaches as they exchange some harsh words after Tickle’s defeat.  Faber comes out to defend the Bad Boy after Cruz is mad at him for not putting hard training time during the weeks leading into the fight.  Will this escalate and more fuel be thrown into the burning fire that will explode on July 7th between Faber and Cruz?  Definitely worth watching, #TUFLive keeps getting better and better every week.
